Don't go to the Varisty, as somebody who was born in Atlanta and have lived here my whole life, the Varsity is just a name. Its alright, but $10 for 2 hot dogs and fries is BS. Go just down the street and hit up Merrimacks, its great southern food.

Spend an afternoon/early evening in Decatur, which is just a few miles east of downtown Atlanta. Great town to walk around, shops, restaurants, and the mighty Brick Store Pub, which may be the best beer bar in the world.

I hear of everyone going there during the weekend of our trade show. I need to check it out myself this year. We have a fun place in Buck Head we go to. I always leave SHNOCKERED so I forgot the name

You can definitely get shnockered and then some in Decatur. Did it myself this past Monday!
Buckhead ain't what it used to be, as you probably know. They got rid of most of the bars, but there's still a few.
