Top speed in a vehicle

What is the fastest you have driven, or been a passenger, in a street legal mode of transportation? Motorcycle, truck, car, van, semi truck, etc.

I went 110MPH in a Cadillac Escalade this past summer. It was cool at first, but I got a little nervous after about 10 seconds.

I think the fastest I've been in a car is 115, it was only for a few seconds though.

I've been on a high speed train from Frankfurt to Stuttgart; no idea what the top speed of it was, but it felt pretty zippy.

I frequently hit 40mph on my road bike.

My Mustang does a 1/4 mile in 12.7 at 108mph.
On a motorcycle (CBR900RR) I last looked at the speedo at 150mph, was too afraid to keep glancing down at it after that. Probably didn't go much higher though. This was on a circle track.

On the road, I just keep flow with the traffic. On my drive to WA from PA, when I moved here, there were times when the flow of traffic was 85+ mph.

Both of my Hayabusas topped out at 171mph on GPS. I could have gone faster but I couldn't tuck my mesh jacket and paints in close enough behind the fairing. 171 with my riding gear on must be terminal velocity as one Busa had about 25hp more than the other.

I pegged my GPS at 144 coming back from MS in my Z4. I probably went fast in friends Porches and Corvette Z06's.

102mph in my 1.1 fiat uno from 1989, with four people and a ton of camping gear in the car. Must have been downhill...

I will not confirm that 180 on a 03 yamaha R1 is crazy fast and the front end feels like its going to come flying up.

What bolt-ons/mods you running? The 98-03s don't move that fast unaltered. Fastest I've seen a from-factory one was 171...

I had a speedometer pinned at 120 (that's all it went up to) in a '69 Olds 442 many years ago. I'm not sure how fast I was actually going 125, 130? but it was pretty stupid actually.
Two weeks later I was driving out of a parking lot in the same car and something snapped in my steering column where I could just spin the steering wheel loosely while the car went wherever it felt like. Talk about lucky timing huh?

They are governed at 312kph, which is 193mph, no idea why would couldn't get it going faster. Although that is in Canada, might be different in the US.

115 mph in a stock car. But the fastest impression I got was in a go-kart that could go over 60 mph. The ground is very real when it's two inches under your butt.

I've ridden 175 mph in a Ford GT40 on the same oval.

I used to take my street rodded 86 Mustang up to 140 mph (rev limited to 6,000 rpm) all the time. Lots of fun but the nose tends to get a little squirrelly above about 120 mph.

My friend had a full racing GSXR 1100 that he took me for a ride on. We topped out at 164 mph.

Scared the crap out of me.
