Any of you Brit Bassists watch it? Though I'm stateside, I "borrowed" it off the intertubes, and I will flat out declare it is the best thing I've seen in quite a while. I'm not going to give away anything for the moment, but I will say I've watched the series from day one, and though they've hinted at darker themes than Dr Who, they've never quite broken the barrier between real seriousness and camp. This five parter not only breaks the barrier, but wallows in it in a most satisfying way. The third part has one of the best ef'd up government pow-wow's I've ever seen on film. It's absolutely brilliant!

COE is way way darker and depressing (in a good way) than I ever expected. Good show!

I didn't want to watch it, but somehow I found myself eager to see how it all ended. Certainly a heck of a lot darker then I thought it would end up, suffered a bit from the classic Doctor Who "miracle cure in the last 5 minutes" that a lot of episodes feature. It's flawed, but I enjoyed immensely, which I guess is all that matters.

I finally saw this on DVD. How depressing! I didn't much care when Tosh and Owen bit the dust but Ianto was a favorite. Where can they go from here? I wasn't sure if the series was over or what. The whole concept was great though, even though it ended on a sad note.
