Tornado causes severe damage to Lambert Airport Saint Louis

Though I live in California, I'm originally from Saint Louis and have a lot of family and friends there. I got a lot of updates last night about a huge storm that passed through the area that dumped baseball and grapefruit sized hail and several tornadoes.

One of those tornadoes apparently bowled over Lambert Field. It's amazing nobody was killed and there were no major injuries, but it's just surreal looking at the damage to an airport I've flown out of several times over the years. It's less than 10 miles from my house.

I live here. The damaging storm swept over the north end of the metro area along the I-70 corridor. A lot of damage, thankfully no casualties.

All flights today, tomorrow, and on Monday have been cancelled. I just had a fun conversation with my boss explaining why I won't be able to come back to work until Thursday =/
