Toy Story 3

So, Toy Story was a big part of my childhood. The first and second movies are probably my favorite movies OF my childhood. Something about it is just awesome. I had all the toys from the movie, etc. Anyway, it's been a LLLOOOOONNGG time since the second one came out. Naturally, when I heard about the third one about a year ago, my immediate reaction was that I HAD to see it. Now, I'm not one for cheesy kiddy Disney movies or lovey dovey ****, but I have to tell you, I LOVED that movie! I went to see it with a couple friends and I bought my ticket, and walked to the showroom proudly. If any of you have kids, or were ever a fan of the series, either as a kid, as an adult (nothing wrong with that) or what have you, this is a GREAT, touching family movie. I say touching because the story is a very soft-felt one. The end was actually a bit sad, and I'm not afraid to say that I got a little misty-eyed.

It wasn't really SAD at the end, but you'd have to watch it or have been a huge fan of the storyline and the first two films to understand what I mean.

Overall, great. Take your kids. Take yourself. You won't regret it.

The girlfriend and I were going to watch it tonight, but it was sold out. We will be seeing it before it leaves theaters. The first Toy Story was the first movie that I ever saw in a theater. The scene where they are chasing the moving truck on RC still makes me laugh when I think about it. Absolutely amazing movies and I can't wait to see this one.

Took my 4-year old daughter to see it tonight. We both enjoyed it a lot. Spanish Buzz got tons of laughs from both of us. Definitely a great flick to watch with the kids.

Anyone seen it in 3D? If so, is it worth the extra $$?

Took my two youngest to it today. The OP got it about perfect.

As far as 3D: it was cool and added a nice touch, but didn't have the obvious 3D schtick so it will be just fine in 2D also.

I just got back from seeing it. I thought it was really well done and I liked how they tailored it to the kids that grew up with the Toy Story movies.

It was awesome. I had bought the 3D tickets ($12 with glasses), but then I realized that with my glasses I cannot use them correctly. They went to exchange tickets for the 2D for $2 cheaper at a earlier time. Every thing about it was excellent.

If you saw Toy Story 3..

You seriously cannot say you didint cry or at least drop some tears.

Seriously a great movie, it has comedy, action, drama and this element that made it so great for me which is nostalgia.

I was literally jumping before going in and i told my dad, i swear im gonna cry so when you see me dont even say a word.

I went in not knowing what to expect.. boy was i in for a big emotional ride..

Definitely a family movie, bring your kids, girlfriends or go by yourself and expect to have a wonderful time

Man, i just graduated from highschool last night and today i woke uip and the second thought on my mind was "I gotta see Toy Story 3". So i tell my parents and find out times and blabla so we finally leave for the theatre..

We get there and the line is the longest ive seen, so we stand there and buy tickets for the next one which was just 50 minutes later. We get our tix we walk inside and im literally the first dude waiting for the lady to say "Sala 2" so i could finally watch this movie.

I wana warn you that this might have spoilers so avoid reading if you havent seen it yet.

So as soon as the movie started i already had tears in my eyes, just seeing woody back in action was enough to bring joy and memories from my childhood then the other guys join in and im this emotional atomic bomb just waiting to explode (which eventually happened).

See, im going to college, Toy story was probably the biggest thing during my childhood, i had all the toys and all the buzz lightyears you could possibly create, and i saw how day after day that need to pick up a toy and play with it was fading away.

When andy walks into the room for the first time and his mom is talking to him i was looking at myself, literally they were saying the exact same things me and my mom say to eachother, then how he instead of playing with woody and friends he sticks to his laptop and cellphone, and also has an electic guitar in his room (in my case it would be a bass obviously). Then when woody gets on the table and looks at andys graduation picture oh my god, it was so hard not to start crying right there i mean, my picture, an almost exact replica of the one in the movie was taken just hours before that moment then when he lifts it and theres the one of the young andy playing with all of them i started sobbing it was way too much emotion for me to hold back..

I obviously laughed with the movies great yet siple silly humor but the last 15 minutes or so were almost too much. When woody wrote the note for andy i was starting to break, then when he goes with the little girl (cant remember he rname right now i think it was bonnie?) and he starts introducing each character i was biting my thumbnail just because i couldnt do anything else to hold back the tears.. and THEN when the girls yells "COWBOY" (i saw it in spanish) and Andy holds him and the girl says "There's a snake in my boot".. OH MY GOD that's when it all fell appart, i starte wipping like a little girl i mean that single line brought back so much memories from the first movie, and just the general feel of that particular moment in the movie, and how they have their final playtime and at the end every toy is looking at Andy and woody says "farewell cowboy" (again is aw it in spanish) wow it was that bomb i talked about earlier finally blowing up i mean i didint care the packed up theatre saw me in tears i was just happy and sad and i dont know..

Every member of my family was in tears i mean, my mom would kill for me to stay here at home but then again i have grown up and i have to go, and i felt os nostalgic i jsut wanna go back in time and stay a kid.. it was a great touching and moving story/movie and everyone i think ended up satisfied because the movie delivered everything you could ask for in a movie..

So you see, basically when you look at Andy you are looking at me, a guy who gets so attached to things he loves that when its time to say goodbye to them he finds it just too hard or does not know what to do, unfortunately my mom gave away all our toys, but im happy to know it was to another kid who would give them the love that i gave them throughout my childhood, my mom told us she was just like andy and his mom, putting them in the bag then taking them out untill finally she closed her eyes and said :"Take these for your kid before i take them out and keep them".

So i think you all can imagine how im in tears as i write this heh, its just so much emotion going on inside of my head and heart that i just had to share it with you guys..

EVERY TOY IS ALIVE IN OUR IMAGINATIONS AND IN OUR HEARTS =)

It was really good. I didn't cry, but I did have to make a conscious effort not to at the end of the movie.
