I'm just thinking out loud, but I've noticed a couple of people (my brother included) who's middle name is the same as their father's first name. They're also the first born son of the family.
Is this traditional? Maybe along the same lines as naming your son (or daughter) after yourself? Or are people just uncreative?

My sister's middle name is my mum's first name. I don't know whether it is a running tradition in our family or what, but that is the way things have turned out so far.

For example
Chewbacca The Wookie
becomes
Chewbacca Wookie Walaby |

I have the same complete name as my dad, with the suffix "II", and if I have a son I plan on making him a "III".

I have friends whose middle name matches their father's first name. Definitely common. |

So I am Sergey Mikhailavich (Serg son of Mikhail)
Works out great IMO

Works out great IMO | Hmm. It's a bit like that bit in the bible that's like "Abraham son of Jehovah, son of David, who once bought a carpet off a Kevin, whose sister dated Steve from down the road...." or whatever it is.
