I saw it last night, in IMAX 3D. Wow, what a cool movie. Stuff blowing up left and right, loud explosions, people screaming, guns going off, and a few funny moments.
It cost me $16.50 for the experience, and I enjoyed all two and a half hours of it. The 3D effects were great, and didn't really seem pushed or cheesy like some 3D movies. There were some parts were items were coming at you off the screen, but it was more of a feeling like everything was going on around you type of 3D. I liked it, and I'd pay $16.50 to see it again.
Although I was really sad when the old man autobot was killed. I felt a kinship with him.

Transformers, Revenge of the Fallen: My ears are bleeding and I feel dirty. The worst movie I've paid to see in theaters and one of only a handful of times I've demanded my money back.
Transformers, Dark of the Moon: I've learned my lesson and am avoiding this movie at all costs. |

Robots blowing **** up
Yup, that's about all it is.
I quite liked it! Not an amazing film, but still pretty good.

For example, I'll definitely go see Harry Potter in the next few days, but that will be the last time I probably go to the movies for the remainder of the year.
*edit* Actually, that might be the first time I've been to the movies all year as well. I remember back in high school my friends and I use to be able to out to Taco Bell before seeing a night movie and we'd all spend less than $10 a person for a whole nights worth of entertainment. These days I'd be lucky to walk away paying anything less than $16. While not a huge difference, it's enough of a difference to make me not go.

| | | | The 2nd one gave me a headache and it wasn't even in 3d and spent way too much time with pointless college scenes. They would have had more of a point if there were more tits. No way I'm seeing the new one.
Having grown up watching the tv show my gripe is the robots have so much detail that you can't make anything out. Just a mass of scrap metal that looks vaguely humanoid. I think they could have given them more smooth surfaces without taking away from their look. 'cause in the movie they look like somebody made a gi joe out of magnets and threw it down the hardware aisle at Lowes. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
