Trapped! Parking garage locks wireless remote in car

Sign in to disble this ad
My parking garage locked my wireless remote in my car (and my second key is no where to be found).

Heck, I didnt know that was even possible.

A locksmith is on the way....let's see how easy it will be to break into a 2007 Jaguar XK.

Locksmith arrives

slides little inflatable pillow into window crack--pushes window out a bit
slips long tool into car and opens door
maybe 2 minutes.

dont ever leave valuables in your car....

Yeah, it's not hard to break into a car. If you want to save money from calling locksmiths you can use a coat hanger and do it yourself.

You know, if your wife/girlfriend/brother/mother has a spare set of keys to your car with the keyless entry, you can call them on your cell, have them hold the fob close to the mouthpiece, and press "unlock" and it will, in fact, unlock your car. I've tried it, and it works.

+1. So the other day, I was riding my Ducati and when I pulled it into my six car garage, I realized the kick stand was sticking. I had to lean up against my Bentley Continental GT, so I could get a better look, and lo and behold I found this pesky Two Karrot diamond stuck in the mechanism. It must have fallen off my Rolex. Either that or it came from my wife's Tiffany engagement ring.

How close was the person with the other remote? If they are anywhere near in range, it's definitely not the cell phone. I'd like to see this tested.

The other person was indoors, about 200 feet away, which is considerably further than my keyless entry would work, plus she was inside, and my car was out.

DO it from a mile away. Then give me your results.
