I would not be surprised if we're casually throwing around the term quadrillion within seven years.

The most I've ever had in my possession at one time (in cash, mind you, greenbacks, not my bank account) was $700. I had a picture of it too, but not anymore. So, ten thousand is hard for me to imagine, never being in posession of a $100 bill for more than one hour. This is all as mind blowing to me as the movie Altered States, and that made ever a little bit of sense.

That illustration reminded me of our little fiasco in 2004 where we were actually sending hundreds of tons (literally) of pallets of $100 bills to Iraq but didn't pay too much attention to what happened to them. Oy.

Now change those 100$s to .50cents,that'd be a picture.

So, here is a question that bothers me, but I've never heard it asked. What happens when the interest payment alone on that debt exceeds revenues? For example: the government had to pay 451 billion in interest last year. Tax revenues were only 1.5 trillion. With the increased spending now it may get to a point in the future were all the government can do is pay the interest.
