The Triple (bypass) Down [Bacon Inside]

Sign in to disble this ad
So I was bored today, so I decided to make another Bacon creation. I hope this one earns some TB Kudos.

I call it the Triple (bypass) Down.
Same concept as the Double down but with bacon as chicken and egg as bacon.

Step 1:
Take 3 strips of bacon, cut one in half. This is to make each 'bun'

Weave the bacon to look like this

Once both buns have been made put them in the oven. To try and drain some of the oil away I used a tray with holes in it, then a normal tray beneath to catch the oil.

I forgot to take a pic but cook an egg or two while the bacon is cooking. I put some Worcestershire sauce in the egg to add a bit more flavour.
When bacon and eggs are both done. Pile them up with cheese and smokey BBQ Sauce then put back in the oven to melt the cheese.

The finished product.

It took a while to make and not long to eat but it was definitely worth it. If I make it again I will use two eggs and some more smokey bbq sauce.

I think you would have been better off "battering" the bacon patties in egg, then frying them to make some sort of bun type thing.

Then you could put whatever you want between the two layers of bacon/egg bun thingoes.

Easy.

1. Heat bacon in pan, let fat run into pan.
2. Remove bacon, allow fat to drip off into pan.
3. Batter that mother.
4. Fry battered bacon, in its own fat!
5. ???
6. Profit? (Delicious?)
