Trying to find technique and style.

Greetings fellow bassists. I need some recommendations for a book to use to learn styles of playing. I used the Hal Leonard Fast Track Bass Method books 1 and 2. Should I start using a different series of books or should I just start learning scales and all my key signatures and get the roots 5ths and thirds down?
