Hi.

First of all, congrats.

As for the question You have:

Is the booze just for Yourself or for the entire party?

If just for Yourself, that amount of cash over here would buy you enough any hard booze, even with our insane taxes, to end up in stomach pumping.

If You're thinking of throwing a party with a $20 bill, look at the local "independent" makers . True, it may make You go blind if you're cheaping out too much or give you the sh... eh, dhiarrea, but it'll be cheap.

As a someone who's somewhat retired from drinking any significant amounts of alcohol, I'd suggest going for quality, rather than quantity. And do take it slow at first.

Regards
Sam

Life is too short to drink cheap booze. If you like beer, get something decent. In Omaha you should be able to get KC Brewings Amber or Wheat. If You like wine, look for something with a cork Don't know if you can get it there, but an Oregon Cabernet called St. Josephs is respectable and at like $12.00 a bottle gets close to your budget. Now lets talk whisky.....if you live past this birthday, that is. Oh, and Happy Birthday.

Wait wait... Are you telling us that you've never purchased alcohol before, even through a person who was of age? I mean, twenty-one years old?! TWENTY-ONE?!?!

Get ya some of this stuff and pass out in the alley behind the liquor store. Be sure to urinate on yourself thoroughly though, or you'll get rolled by the other winos. The urine is a street cred that you're legit.

God Bless, Ray

It does seem strange to me - so I can remember going into pubs with schoolfriends at about 13-14 and getting the older looking guys to buy drinks - that's what growing up is all about!!

The question is do you want liquor or beer? Is this just for you? Seriously do yourself a favor and buy something decent. You have the rest of you life to drink cheap booze and beer if you want. You only get one 21st birthday!!

Before I turned 21, I was drinking mostly Jack Daniels, Captain Morgan, and cheap beer. I was drinking whatever I could afford.

Now that I can buy it anytime, I drink better stuff, less often.

It's your 21st, do it better than I did.

I was with my underage girlfriend at the time, so I drank *a* Budweiser. If I would have had some forethought, I would have ordered a Hoegaarden instead.

This and Blue Moon are the only non-dark Ale's I will drink. Otherwise its pretty much straight Guinness for me .

Seriously dude, dont start off on the wrong with cheap stuff because its all you can afford. I'll talk a small glass of good sipping brandy, or scotch with a cigar over a case of yellow/brown water anyday.

Speaking of this, on my 21st my dad bought me a huge bottle of Crown Royal Special Reserve. I don't drink so I couldn't have told you the difference but we had a Jam/Party at our rehearsal studio and the guys who did drink raved over the stuff.

+1 on the Quality over Quantity any day.

God Bless, Ray

Dude for a 20 you can get a fifth of something decent. Seeing as you're asking what to get I'm betting you don't drink/haven't drank so you should get wrecked easily. Putting a dent in a fifth should get you ****ed up then.

Myself? I'd get a bottle of whisky (to go with straight), or vodka captain or bacardi for mixing. Beer wise please get something decent! No Natty or Beast ********!

yeah, $20 should buy a 5th of something respectable. I reccomend tequila. Everyone should get drunk and puke up tequila at least one time. Might as well get yours over with.

This gets my vote! When I was a senior in high school I used to get a Slurpee from 7-11 every morning and mix it with 151. Jazz band was my first class so it made thing interesting.

Iwakuni Japan, 1995 ... The Circus Club outside the front gate, just past "Four Corners". Yeah I wont forget that night. So messed up we ended up going to another club because we could tell which of the two Japanese girls we were dancing with from the others in the place and didnt want to start a problem.
