dude, slide the old one out (forward) off the end of the tonearm, and slide the new one on, and seat it. Grab both sides of the plastic casing surrounding the stylus and pull until the stylus disconnects. Should not take much pulling. Just be careful the new stylus' tube aligns correctly when you seat the new casing.

Shouldn't have to mess with an alignment map if you didn't make any adjustments to the tonearm head. Do you think it's out of alignment? Does it sound it? You should be able to hear it instantly. This is the linear tracking turntable, right?

Lots of love for Vinyl on talkbass lately!

Your very nice linear tracking turntable has a P-mount cartridge. You do not need an alignment protractor or any other tool for that turntable. It's a plug-and-play design.

If you have the stock cartridge that came with the turntable, you should be able to look it up at a place like Needle Doctor or LP Gear. They may be able to help you if you email them. If it is damaged or missing, you can get a replacement cartridge like the Audio-technica AT 92ECD for about $25 or so.

The stylus should be on a plastic housing that snaps in and out of the cartridge. The cartridge is connected to a small arm or other mounting point on the lid of your turntable using a single screw and it plugs right in.
