The more that comes up on this story, the weirder it gets. When I first heard about it, I thought a tenure denial was involved because so much is at stake during the tenure and promotion process from assistant to associate professor.

With the past of this professor, it is a miracle she made to Harvard and to a job at all!

I have a good friend who attends classes at Huntsville. She says they're all weirded out by what's happened, and there are a heck of a lot of rumors floating around. Probably a lot more of the story still to come out.

Surprise! It looks like an insanity defense.

She should have been behind bars for murdering her brother years ago. Something strange happened with the PD in her home town. It will all come out, now that it's too late.

Obviously, I don't know everything about this case, but the idea that of a Harvard person being enraged at rejection by a lesser institution is something I have seen first hand when I was in graduate school. That professor eventually lost it and punched out a girl who was replacing books on the stacks in the library. He was eventually fired.
