This is a bit short notice, as we are minutes away from round 1...but for anyone who watches UFC the fight is live on FOX right now. No PPV! Go Santos! |

No advertising here..... damn lucky I saw this thread... cheers!

Lesnar caught Cain with a great knee in their fight and got a take down but couldn't capitalize on the ground and Cain caught Brock after that.
Was good to see UFC on Fox and excited to see more events on FX and Fuel TV. Good time to be an MMA fan!

It just made me realize how much b.s. they stuff in there. I am not convinced that this is a good thing for MMA at all, but I hope it is. Oh well! Dana didn't call me to ask my opinion so there you go!

Well maybe a seeping bottle... |

Well maybe a seeping bottle... | He actually seemed like that before the fight. He has talked about how much stress he's had about the Fox debut and I think he was just so jacked up and stressed out that he could barely contain himself.

bc | The whole Fox thing is ironic to me. Spike and Versus was always a nice fit but I really couldn't stand how Spike could never keep their shows on "schedule" and messed with my DVR.
It's funny because it's usually republicans (in NY) who always deny the vote to legalize MMA and yet now it's on a highly biased republican channel lol. |

I think Velasquez is a much more well rounded fighter with excellent wrestling. As to whether or not he should have tried wrestling right off the bat, who knows. I imagine JDS worked take down defense hard for that fight and I imagine he would have punished Velasquez if he wasn't spot on. That's how these things work, it only takes one punch.
As for it being on Fox...ugh. Death by commercials is a good way to put it. I was like all the worst aspects of the Superbowl without the funny commercials. It makes me want to pay more attention to Strikeforce and Bellator. |

Dana would probably be terrible at poker. He obviously disliked the dude from Fox. Every time that guy spoke, Dana had a nasty look on his face like he just despised him. Then after the fight he was just so PO'd at the outcome.
To make an impact at a network debut, they needed it to go for at least 2 rounds with some intense back and forth before a KO. At least it shows that the UFC fights are honest and aren't fixed.
