Help you out?

Well... I suggest checking the classifieds.

Does that help?

haha, yeah i could do that but you've gotta understand something: i've been on unemployment since october. i do nothing and a check gets sent to me every week. i've grown to be really lazy and to expect things to just "happen", so you can see why it would make more sense for me to post on here (something i do regularly in lieu of working) and ask for a job than actually go out and "look" for a job.

I thought you had to show proof of applying for jobs to continue to collect unemployment?

they wave my work search for most of the off-season because i am returning to the same employer in the spring. last year they made me do a "work search" starting in like january but there wasn't any proof involved. the only documentation of the search was for my own records, not as proof for "the man" that i'm actively searching for unemployment (my word is good enough for that). plus, the potential employment contact they're looking for can be something as simple as going into a place and asking if they are hiring (whether they are or not) and that can count as one of the two you need for the week.

Go on welfare for the two months or whatever. If you don't want to be a drain on the system, go to a job agency and get a job as a call in for factories.

I have no sympathy at all. when I got laid off a few years ago I busted my ass to find a good job, and I did. I realize things don't always work out but you've no excuse for not trying to fill in those months.

In order for us to help you out, answer us this: Besides playing bass (or hanging out in this forum) what is it that you do?

Ding!!

Oh, WOW!!! After numerous horrific buzz-ins, the home audience was getting a little concerned that no one was going to score on this one.....

CONGRATULATIONS, Mr. Blisshead!!!!!!! You've found one of several variations of the correct answer!! +10, and don't be so shy next time, hit the buzzer and drop the hammer like a pro!!

Mike

That's a good way to lose money, not make it

If you want a quick and easy to get job, check out fast food, Trader Joes or Walmart. Without knowing your skills, level of education and past job history I don't know what else there is out there.

You don't just need a job. You need your man card revoked.
