The ensuing chase would be funny, if it were not for the incident years ago when a deranged Martina Hingis fan ran onto the court and stabbed Monica Seles.

How does somebody get close enough to touch the most dominant tennis player in the world today, possibly ever? Can you imagine what would happen if a similar nutjob rushed the court tonight and tried to put a hat on Kobe?

I will say, though, that the open field field tackle was a work of beauty.
