Just when you thought the Keystone Kops were forgotten, a nutjob rushes the court and tries to put a hat on Roger Federer's head during the French Open Men's Final. The ensuing chase would be funny, if it were not for the incident years ago when a deranged Martina Hingis fan ran onto the court and stabbed Monica Seles.

How does somebody get close enough to touch the most dominant tennis player in the world today, possibly ever? Can you imagine what would happen if a similar nutjob rushed the court tonight and tried to put a hat on Kobe?

I will say, though, that the open field field tackle was a work of beauty.

The same way somebody can stab Monica Seles on the court during a match in 1993.

Wow. Although apparently harmless in intent, that sort of stunt is still kinda scary.

This is what we get when we have a society where many are totally obsessed with celebrity.

Martina Hingis was 12 when that happened, so she wasn't exactly playing professional tennis at the time. Steffi Graf on the other hand was
