Uncredited musicians in movies

Sign in to disble this ad
Just found a couple of interesting facts.

Animal House: The guitar player playing the guitar at the toga party is Stephen Bishop. The guitar player in "Otis Day & the Knights" was Robert Cray.

Anyone else know of some uncredited musicians in movies?

I can't remember if he was officially credited or not, but Jerry Cantrell pops up in Jerry Maguire.

Melvin Lee Davis appeared with his Ken Smith 6 string bass in the old Eddie Murphy film "Coming to America", performing with the uber-corny band named Sexual Chocolate. Jeff Beck also appeared as a bar band guitarist in the Schwartzenegger/DeVito film "Twins".

These two guys were probably credited in the fine print of the final credits, though - in modern times, you only have to sneeze when an album or movie is made to be credited as being a part of the project.

Stephen Bishop is credited at the end of the movie.

They were probably credited, but the band in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was made up of members of Pulp and Radiohead.

That's at the end of Bill and Teds Bogus Journey.

Which reminds me, I think at the end of Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure, Rufus, played by George Carlin, grabs a guitar, and shreds. They never show his face and his hands at the same time, because it was Steve Vai actually playing the guitar. I'm not sure if he was credited.

You talking about the band with the fire torches on the beach????

I always get a hoot going when that sax player/singer starts doing the "dry hump" when he starts playing the sax.

That is the scene. I was there when they shot it and it was really late and cold that night.
