Might have to try it though according to the article the stuff back the was 144 proof compared to 124 proof now

That much difference in proof shouldn't make much difference. How it's made and the quality and quantity of the ingredients is what counts. Lucid is OK but there are MUCH better ones out there.

There was a fairly cpmprehensive Absinthe thread a couple of months ago, i didn't actually know that anywhere had '' Banned '' it tho'

It was banned in a lot of places (ie: France, America etc) because it was believed to cause hallucinations and all kinds of health problems. As it turns out, none of that is really true: it's just another type of alcohol. However thujone (the not-really hallucinogenic chemical in absinthe) is regulated in most of the world, which is why absinthe is sometimes legal and sometimes not.
