A nice Major Metal style question
Where ever your at you are of legal age to drink, you have a Cousin/Niece/Nephew who is moderately responsible who is under the drinking age, and you know isn't going to get busted or do something dumb, and they ask you to buy them booze
Side note they are giving you the cash for it and a little extra for your efforts
Do you buy it or tell them to pound sand? |

I wouldn't have trouble doing it, honestly. I might even hang with the bunch (that's what I do with my bro) if they're cool people, so I can keep an eye on what's happening and maybe have fun too.
I made a few valuable contacts, music-wise, with this method.

One who wants to sip on a beer or two an evening, sure.
One who likes to party, and thinks getting drunk is the greatest thing, absolutely not.

| | | | at least you have some sort of control over what they can drink,
i mean this way you can at least get them beer or something safe (well as well as alcohol can get),
instead of them asking some junkie whos over age to buy them a full bottle of vodka or something |

Around here i remember fire camps and all-night parties with lots of vodka back when i was... 13. :/

Unless their plan is to get totally destroyed, I would absolutely buy it for them. |

You don't need to play bass either.

| | Banned | | Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Montreal,Canada | | saturday I bought my own beer for a party and didn't get carded
My dad is fine with buying me a beer to drink when we go to shows or restaurants, nothing more though. Sometimes I go to friends houses and just drink a beer while we hang out, just something to drink.
Party though, i can't vouch for the responsibility of all of us besides the fact we're in a safe environment.
Never will buy my little brother alcohol though until he's 16 and I am drinking with him, I want to keep an eye on him if he does
(I'm 16 turning 17 in less then a month though, legal age here is 18)

I have no problem with it, as long as their responsible about drinking that and since when i was underage i had someone buying me booze I'm giving back the opportunity i was given.
if they where out drinking and driving or doing something else illegal I wouldn't do it. |

| | no really, smokemeth&hailsatan | | Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Pueblo, CO | | | I'm nineteen. I have never asked for anyone to buy me alcohol (now if it's in the house I nag all the time), but I usually accept some if it is offered to me. (unless I'm going to be driving)
If someone asked me to buy them alcohol when I become of legal age, I suppose I would. As long as there not going to be doing something stupid, or illegal, or both, I personally do not see a problem with it.
Drugs? No way in hell. |
