I've been on UI since I lost my job last January. My state benefits ran out this past week, so I went to my local UI office and applied for and was approved for the federal benefits extension. My question is how long can I expect to wait before my benefits resume?

| | | | Yes, it should kick in right away. I'm back to work but was laid off from late January '09 until March of this year and had no problem with the federal benefits. Hope things go well for you and I wish you well with the job search.
Keep the Faith, my friend. |

And when I went to the office to apply they told me it would be a few days. But I've never been one to trust what the Government tells me, that's why I'm asking here!
