Ya know, I think I would be scared out of my mind if I was served with papers saying the United States v. Mike Jones.

Anyone else keeping up with the trial? It finally started last week.

I would like his title stripped. Pete Rose can't get into the hall of fame for betting on his own team. Bonds shouldn't keep his title.

Also, Hall of Fame shouldn't factor in morality (although this applies much more to Rose, IMO).

They have to make a token example of somebody or else people would think they weren't doing their jobs.

Barry Bonds was foolish enough to make of himself an unpopular public figure so this is what he gets.

yeah really.....i could see it if pete had bet against his team.....turned me right off baseball......the kind of cheating bonds did is far worse.....

MLB is in a tight spot here. They can't strip Bonds of anything, unless they go back and strip everyone who used steroids during that era. Even then, it is not clear on exactly who all was using. The only choice they would have is to wipe away all statistics from that era.

Pfft, competitive sports are lame. Unlike "Pro" wrestling where steroid use is practically required. I say, put 'em all on drugs.

If you ain't cheatin' you ain't tryin'. I honestly could not care less about PEDs in sports. If they are willing to trade their health for my entertainment (and $$$ obviously) the I say go for it.

As far as keeping them out of the HOF, I think that's just silly. You'll never truly know who was using and who wasn't. Let the numbers stand as they are. Any baseball fan knows what was going on that time of the game. Anyway, if the best pitchers were on gear AND the best hitters were on gear, then it all seems fair to me.

MLB knew about the use of PED's, and did nothing about it at the time. Of course, that was right after the strike and they needed fans back. What better way to attract younger fans with money to spend than to have a bunch of muscle bound athletes cranking baseballs out of stadiums 60 or 70 times a year each.
