Update on possible heart attack.

Long story short, I just got back from taking my stress test and another echo gram that involved using a sonogram too.

The doc told me that my heart beat was irregular prior to the test which was indicative to having a heart attack. Though when I did the actual stress test, there were no complications and nothing triggered. I gotta admit, that test was a bit of a bitch. 9 minutes on a treadmill going uphill and continually faster until they got my heart rate to 152 BPM.

I have to see my primary physician tomorrow, so I'm not quite sure what's going to go down as far as my heart goes anymore, but the cardiologist told me that the test went well, so I'm breathing a sigh of relief on that. To quote the doc, "you know what you need to do, so just start doing it." I wish I started doing it sooner rather than later though.

Now, I've got to get one more possible threat of a different nature in my mouth looked at at by my doc tomorrow and then knock it out if it's something serious. Then if/when all goes well on that, I'll be pretty much worry free at least as far as my overall health goes.

Knock out your mouth? I'm sure you can find someone around here to do that for you for free.

That is good news from the cardiologist. Hopefully, the results of your visit tomorrow will be uneventful. Take time to reflect, and continue taking care of youself. Keep us posted.

Reflection is good and I've been doing a lot of it over the past month, even more of it than normal over the past few days. One thing I keep coming up with is how otherwise intelligent people make some of the dumbest decisions concerning their health. Other than a 20 year old injury I got in the Marines, everything else that's negative going on with my health is something that could've been prevented if I would've headed all the warnings/advice from my doctor and others years ago. Bottom line is, it's not like I never knew it couldn't happen if I didn't change certain aspects of my lifestyle. I thought it wouldn't happen to me. Denial is a real bitch.
