Not a nightmare story, just frustration. Ok, possibly missunderstanding on how/why they do what they do. Clear as mud?

I'm waiting on a package that departed Phoenix AZ at 3:17 am on the 27th. Due to arrive to me in RI on the 5th. So far, there's no other tracking info. None. I called UPS and they said I'd get delivery confirmation on the 5th. THANK YOU Captain Obvious!

Tracking information only gets updated when a package gets scanned. Packages only get scanned when they get unloaded/loaded into a new container/truck/etc at a new facility. Your package, since it's travelling across the whole US will probably be on a freight train for several days, in which it won't get an updated scan.

If it's estimated to arrive the 5th, it'll arrive the 5th.

Being the party on the other end of this trade, I share your frustration, I'd love to know where the bass is between RI and here. However, Unrepresented is right, it'll be there on the 5th. And you will be happy.
