So I was supposed to receive my new acoustic b200 amp today, but UPS couldn't deliver it....."THE APARTMENT NUMBER IS MISSING OR IS INCORRECT. UPS IS ATTEMPTING TO OBTAIN THIS INFORMATION" wth, how are they going to do it? Call me? Highly doubt it, do they have a magic wand? I'm lucky their warehouse where my amp is sitting is about 3 miles away from where I live, will have to pay those guys a visit.

Your shipper didn't include the information. Don't blame UPS, blame the person who didn't bother to include all the information on your shipping label.

As for UPS, they have databases that they're able to use to track down your info based on previous shipments and phonebook entries, however, your best option is to contact them with the tracking number so that it gets correctly updated.

True that, but is not the first time that I buy something from that place, weird that they would not include the full info.

I work for USPS and it happens all the time. People think we're mind readers.

Tis the season of shipping delays. For some reason the first half of this year my average transit time of my packages regardless of carrier has shifted from 2-4 days to 5-8 days. I am currently waiting for a package that was shipped last tuesdays and was supposed to be delivered in two business days.

Should I just go straight to the warehouse and get the package myself? Is about 3 miles from where I live, I've checked the ups website using the tracking number and it hasn't been updated since yesterday?

Call them- prepare to navigate a dizzying array of menus and endure awful muzak while on hold(hit the lavatory first), and clear it w/them. The warehouse monkeys may not be able to do anything w/o word from above.

Like bassteban said, call them - 800-PICK-UPS. Have the tracking number, and talk to a live person. They should be able to clear up the label confusion and/or arrange for a warehouse pickup. Be nice on the phone - it probably isn't UPS' fault.

As I understand it, UPS divers get paid on the packages they deliver, so most of them tend to make a pretty decent attempt at getting things to where they need to go. If the label info is bad, they don't have a choice but to return it to the shipping center. Remember, UPS doesn't create the label, the shipper does.

Went to the warehouse, explained my situation, showed my I.D. and tracking number the lady ask, what's the apartment number? We need it, I replied it's a house. she went to the back to look for the package and couldn't find it, called a couple of drivers and they don't have it, so they did screw up. Now they have no idea what happened or where the package is.

Call them (you'll talk to totally different people than are at the warehouse). They can enter a re-direct into the system that will (hopefully) get the package on track to you the next time it gets scanned-in to the system. Yes, UPS might not have handled the situation ideally, but it's still the fault of the shipper if they didn't put a correct address on the package.

They did provide the correct address, for some reason UPS believed it was an apartment, when clearly I live in a house.

I had something similar happen to me.

I shipped a laptop to an address... on the day it was supposed to be delivered, it was reported as "NO SUCH STREET, NOT DELIVERED" whereas the street was on the label exactly as it was given to me. Three seconds on Google Maps and I can tell you there was a street there, and a house at that address.

I spoke to my own UPS driver, who says this happens from time to time when a driver doesn't feel like or have time to deliver a package in a day. This way they get an extra day to deal with it tomorrow.

Apparently that was the case, the package was delivered today, when they claimed that they didn't know where it was anyways I'm glad is here and in one piece
