UPS tracking gone postal?

Sign in to disble this ad
I've got a 5 string on the way - complete with tracking number. All the UPS tracking site says is Billing Information Received . According to the info on the Calculate Time and Cost part of their website it should be delivered this afternoon, based on shipping method, location shipped from & to, weight, and time dropped off. What happened to their old system which gave real information?

Why do things seldom improve for the better?

Billing Info Received means that your package has been picked up by UPS.

If it's a large company that has a UPS trailer that is dropped off at their building everyday, it is probably on that and has no yet received a physical scan at a UPS hub. Most likely the case.

Which probably means that what your waiting for is not being delivered today.

what? i have ordered tons of stuff, and have dealt with ups many times, but have never seen that one; new to me. as the squeaky wheel gets the grease, sometimes its fun to pester the **** out of those folks.

back in april i bought a 46" 120hz samsung. i got a good price, but it was still a lot of money. (im sure you dropped some cash on the bass too.) anyway, it was shipped from washington... and then to chicago... and then down to santa cruz, ca. the box came a little messed up. the tv is still working like a champ, but shipping things all over to places with varying temperatures cant be good for basses or tvs. it may be worth your time to clarify this over the phone. i would hate for you to get the same treatment. its really not fun.

i seriously much prefer usps to ups. fedex has always treated me well, and would be my favorite, but costs more, and i forget if they deliver to po boxes or not (a BIG deal breaker for me on some orders).

i hope your baby finds you as fast as possible... screw ups...

Now it shows that it was dropped off on Friday and will be delivered on Tuesday.

I'm glad somebody noticed it sitting around after a few days.

I think that "billing info received" simply means that a label has been printed, not that UPS has received the actual package. When packages are received they're scanned and that information is updated almost instantly. It may be in a trailer awaiting unloading at the facility, or it may be sitting in the guy's living room waiting to be dropped off.

There are hundreds of thousands of packages being moved by UPS at this very moment, yours is not special in anyway, so exercise some patience.

Fedex does not ship to P.O.'s. Used to work there.

This.

Once the label is printed and paid for, billing info is received.

It will remain this way until UPS has the package in their hands and scanned.
