Even if I were into soccer, I couldn't get excited about seeing my country get beat down.

The American team has been slowly getting better of the years (despite a poor WC2006 performance) but yes, we're not nearly as good as our transatlantic brethren. We're still playing for recognition within the international scene, but hey, you gotta start somewhere.

Only kidding - but it will be an interesting game, I am always surprised that the US gets rated so highly by FIFA then looks really poor when they play any European nation...

USA were ranked as high as 4th in 2006 - but have never looked as good as the top 10 teams.
Funny I can't find Luxembourg ...?

I've had £5 on a 1-1 draw, Beckham will want to score for his 100th cap.
Go USA and teach our brats a lesson about football. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
