Usain Bolt

Just seen him cruise to 10.11 having slowed up at 50m and 2nd place coming in 5m behind.

Talk of his demise and impending defeat are greatly misguided.

Meh, I got bored. Once someone gets too good, it becomes redundant.

IMO, IMHO, etc.

If eating horse meat gave you even a fraction the physical properties of a horse, I'd eat the stuff damn near daily... for other reasons. Just sayin'

Yeah. I've always thought it would be awesome to poop giant grassy turds.

People actually care about running? This is exactly like that time I found out that other people than me enjoy curling.

Update if you are interested. Just ran 10.05 in the semi, but it was all over by 10m.

Interestingly, and pointed out by the ever so tactful commentary team, French runner Christophe Lamaitre is the first sprinter of non-African origin to make a major 100m final (ie Olympics or Worlds) in however many years.

Would it have been offensive or insensitive to say "the first White man", which is really what they meant?

I think that's what kids these days call an 'epic fail'.

Too much showboating? Worried about rivals? Going for a new world record?

At least Mo Farah got Silver in the 10k.

Actually it was general curiosity as I didn't know the title was someone's name, or that name belonged to a runner.

As for any specific interest at all in the fastest human afoot, not today, tomorrow, or ever. That kind of thing (IMO) is strictly a personal goal and therefore has no interest to me whatever, unless I'm trying to be that guy.

It's like competitive watermelon seed spitting. Don't do it...don't waste time keeping up with those who do.

Why be here then if you have no interest in the topic? And why comment on my post

Some of us are here because they are interested in running, or ran track at one point, or are currently part of a track team.

Usain Bolt just beat himself. He was eliminated from the finals because he false started.

When I was 12 I won a state title in shot put at a YMCA meet. Does that count as interest in track??
