I sure hope Bolt is clean because he is awesome! I feel sorry for the American he beat; that guy ran the what I think is the third fastest 100m meters of all time (9:71) and got smoked!

I was rooting for Tyson Gay but I knew that no one else really had a chance unless Usain literally fell down or something. Even if he did fall he'd probably still get back up and win the race. Dude is freakish. During the Olympics he looked like he wasn't even trying.

Gay got off to a slow start. He's been doing it the last couple days, in all the heats as well. Says his groin is, "Barely hanging on," and will discuss defending his 200m crown with his doctors before making a decision to run more rounds and risk injury.

Bolt is an insane talent. People forget how he's only 22 years old. But I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Tyson Gay has a two-year window where he can still beat him. The 2011 World Championships are likely to be his last chance and may even be the next time the two face off in peak condition.

Forrest Griffin can run faster than that.

Wow, so what would that roughly transfer into a 40 meter dash?

+1. That was one of the most effortlessly dominant sporting perfomances I've ever seen.

I was slack-jawed at his Olympic 100. The guy is phenomenal.

That's almost 23-and-a-half miles-an-hour.

(I think?)

I saw the race. Bolt is incredible. Despite Tyson Gay being a great sprinter, I just don't see him ever beating Bolt without outside forces, such as injuries. I saw Bolt run the 2300 a couple of weeks ago, and even more than yesterday he blew away the field.
