Vancouver apology thread

As a Vancouver resident and long time Canuck fan, i would just like to truly say that i am embarrassed at my city and my people.
Boston won, they played the better game. that should not have resulted in riots and potential (yet unconfirmed) fatality's.

feel free to share thoughts on the riots and Vancouvers behavior, keeping in mind that most do no condone the downtown violence and riots.

you don't need to apologize for morons. Not everyone is the same. There really are stupid people everywhere; even in Boston.

Unfortunately, it seems the idiots will jump at the opportunity to show their true colours.

Its a shame we could not lose with much more dignity and sportsmanship.

I hope Vancouver will be remembered by how it conducted itself at the 2010 Olympics rather than this fiasco.

Ironically, Vancouver should also take a page from Boston in regards to losing (until recently). It really turned us into a bunch of cynical, loathing pricks. And we really still are (those that are older than 25). The people rioting are usually drunk college students who couldn't tell their bum from a hole in the ground (unless you shoved a 2x4 in there).

i could not agree more. the REAL fans have nothing to do with this, out of a crowd of looters (maybe 100 ppl) i saw TWO Canucks jerseys...

i wish the Vancouver police the best of luck in fighting and resolving this.

As a canuck living abroad, calling Vancouver my sentimental home, I first of all extend my sincerest congratulations to the Boston Bruins and all of their fans. You deserved the cup. You played excellent hockey. And you made your fans proud.

Way to go Boston!!

To the real fans of the Vancouver Canucks, I raise a glass to a noble effort, to an incredible fan base and community spirit that has carried on since the Olympics and that incredible last minute score in the Men's Hockey.

To the a$$holes that are presently destroying one of the most beautiful cities on the planet, I hope you sustain permanent physical injuries that will haunt you till the end. I wish you all criminal records that prevent you from finding a job or being able to travel. You children are the same mindless spoiled children that show up at world political events because your too spoiled to wipe you own bum because you have unusually small genetalia.

In any event, I'm happy Boston won. Tim Thomas was se magnifique...He made this whole finals about goaltending, and he just outperformed Luongo.

There's a breaking story that Luongo got hit by a bus outside of his hotel in Boston.

He's not hurt as apparently, the bus went through his legs.

We got those same a-holes out here in LA. They come out and cause problems after the NBA Finals. We've also go a-holes at our Dodger games. Trust me, Vancouver does not have the market cornered on a holes.

I think Vancouver has better a-holes than LA. You guys are going to have to try just a little bit harder to be considered equals.

Injuries reported - including stab wounds - but no deaths. There is a set of photos available here, I think my favorite is the one with the guy posing with the coach purse.
