Yes, I was looking up some classic Van Damme after watching "JCVD", and when I got to Cyborg, I noticed something with the character names:

(taken from wiki)

Several of the characters' names are references to well-known manufacturers and models of guitars and other musical instruments.

* Gibson Rickenbacker: Gibson, Rickenbacker
* Fender Tremolo: Fender, Tremolo arm
* Marshall Strat: Marshall Amplifiers, Fender Stratocaster
* Les: Gibson Les Paul
* Pearl Prophet: Pearl drums, Prophet 5 synthesizer
* Nady Simmons: Nady Sound Systems, Simmons electric drums

How odd. The movie "JCVD" was very cool though! I was surprised by how much I liked it.

Is there seriously a character in a movie named "Gibson Rickenbacker"?? That kind of cheese could only be found in VanDammeland.

I saw this in the theaters and it wasn't that bad... if you like post apocalyptic movies.

If you don't, it's likely going to be horribly cheesy.

But then again, I fondly remembered a movie called Better Off Dead and bought it recently. I sat down one night to watch it and enjoy myself and other than the great one-liners found the movie to be horrible overall.

So, what I'm telling you is that I may be fondly remembering this one too.

This was the first Van Damme movie I ever saw and I really liked it. Yes, terribly, horribly cheesy. Good fight scenes though, that's all I'm really paying attention to in Van Damme movies anyways.

BURN THE WITCH!
Better Off Dead is classic Savage Steve, how could you turn your back on such greatness. Sad

Did you at least return it to the store saying "I want my two dollars" ?

Other than the one liners, watching the movie was painful.

I did say that.

And yes, I want my two dollars x 2.
