Our local video dive was all rented out of Old Man Indy Jones and the GlassHat so we picked up Vantage Point. Wow..this movie is horrible. The plot is OK (highly implausible but could have been entertaining) but the execution is horrible...total amateur hour in execution, dialogue, acting...you name it, it sucked. I'm sure all the stars in this movie (LOTS of them!) were happy with their pocketbooks but I can't imagine that they're proud of the product. I give it 4.5 fails.
Did any of you actually enjoy this stinker?
On the upside the last movie that we rented blindly was pretty darn good - Rendition. I heartily recommend it.

I just figured ya know....Sigourney Weaver, William Hurt, Forrest Whitaker, Dennis Quaid...surely it's not a turd with those people in it. I mean Whitaker just won an oscar for The Last King of Scotland and all... boy was I wrong.

Well, I've watched this movie at 12 am, after a 10 hours sleep and I fell asleep watching it at about 20 minutes

We rented it, and as we watched we kept coming up with excuses to go to the kitchen, go to the bathroom, go on the internet, hell I even went and did some homework. As each section ended, and a new one started, we would groan oh, NO...
It's not that the story was so terrible really, but the whole different-perspectives conceit was so badly directed and edited that I really didn't want to know what the next guy's perspective was. |

It's a spin on a movie you don't see very often, replaying over and over from a different point, adding more information to completely turn your initial opinion around.
I enjoyed it thoroughly.

It was cheesy, smarmy and condescending all at the same time! And it is, IMHO one of the best movies ever made!
Ah haaaaa, two fruits, whan vegitable and whan flower!
or this bit,
Esteban: "Don't be ridiculous, Zorro is not going to walk in here and say here I am!"
Don Diego: "Here I am!"

I thought the biggest stinker I've seen in years was the critically acclaimed "Sideways" with Paul Giamatti. Most boring movie I've seen in decades. What a waste of film.
