Ok.. here's the deal. I live in a 4G area. I had the Thunderbolt. I had nothing but issues with it after leaving the 4g network on vacation. It rebooted NON STOP . No fix in site.. traded it back in for a Charge. My Charge drops service from 4g to nothing.. or 1x.. all the time.. While sitting still. Recently it has begun to require reboots 2 times a day to stay connected to the network. Changed out the 4G card and still the same thing. So I'm frustrated. I talked to Verizon for two days and the manager finally said I can trade it in on another phone.. and older one. Not the IPhone 4s.
I do like the customization of the droid phones. But the battery life seems to be an issue. I think the iphone 4 seems more stable but I would have to learn a completely different operating system. I'm ok with it as long as I can get my contacts and all that over.
So here's my question to my bass playing brothers and sisters.
Do I go for the IPhone 4 with the new OS on it...
The Droid Incredible 2?
Or do I stick it out with the Charge and wait for an upgrade to the software.
HELP?

I just got a Droid3, loaded it up with about 75-100 apps, turn on WiFi all the time, and send/receive 100 texts a day. There are no widgets on my home screens, and I do not play games on it or listen to music. I can go all day on one charge. I start using it around 7AM. By the time I go to bed around 11PM, it is still 40% left.
I drove down the freeway the other day for about 90 minutes listening to streaming audio. It used less than 10% battery.
So while this D3 has great battery life, I think the Apples may still be the devices to beat for battery life.

I keep my display's brightness set to nearly max. WiFi and GPS toggled off. I total probably about 125-150 texts a day. I browse TB for maybe 30 minutes or so a day on it. With this, I can go about a day and a half before I'm seeing red in the battery meter.
If I game on it, it lasts maybe 4 hours tops (of continual gaming).
This is with the standard battery. |

This is with the standard battery. | On the charge, if i browse the web and answer some emails its at 75 % in the first hour. I have 2 widgets running. Even with no gaming it. .. It still drains fast.

Since that is a moot point, it is a fantastic phone. It gets used heavily and I just went around 55 hours without charging it. Mind you, it was at 1% battery when I plugged it in. Battery life is amazing and it got better with iOS 5.

I get about a day and a half usage (50 texts, 30 min browsing, prolly an hour playing games lol) out of it, but I run it dead all the time. I pretty much plug it in every night since it's my alarm most nights. |

Ps. I am writing this on an iPhone 4 so my opinion is bias. |

I also hate leaving 4g but its not stable here. Two droid 4g phones so far and i can't seem to get a reliable phone.
I may try to talk them into an iphone 4s but they said it wasn't an option... But maybe with a little money to sweeten the pot.

While the guitarist tells me his iphone 4 is pretty much perfect. No complaints....
My charge didn't require a reboot last night and held its battery life for 6+ hours

The days are numbered for this phone.
I called Verizon and they are telling me I can only get the IPhone 4 not the 4s. Even with more money... Hmmm...

lowsound | That's how I was able to get he ability to trade out for another phone. they were trying to give me the same Droid which is already having issues. So they are only offering a couple of options.
I have heard that there was some battery issues with the 4s. Anyone else hear this?
