Verizon - No more free FTP

Sign in to disble this ad
Recently, Verizon has ended free FTP (File Transfer Protocol) usage for their Internet customers. With the Internet account, there is a certain amount of disk storage given for creating personal websites. I used the storage for pictures that I would post here on TalkBass and other sites. As of late August, Verizon now charges an additional $6 if you want FTP access. Can that company get any more greedy? Well, it just did.

Any suggestions for a picture storage site would be appreciated. Thanks!

Verizon sucks ballzac. Trying to upgrade your phone now? Been paying 29.99 per month for unlimited data? NO MORE. The second you get a new phone, they will tell you your phone is not compatible, and you need to buy one of their tiered data plans, which start at $30 per month for 2GB up to $100 per month for 12GB. No more unlimited plans.

My Droid X2 is going to last a LONG time at the current rate.

My neighbor got a new Android device to replace his old one just last week. He was grandfathered in with his unlimited data plan, no hassles. The inconsistency from VZW store to store or when you call in is what bugs me sometimes.
