I have to get a new phone sometime soon. I have a razr now that I don't really want to get rid of, but its starting to mess up on me. I also don't want this same phone for another 2 years, because even though I like it, I know I don't want it for that much longer. So I was thinking about getting the enV, its not my favorite phone design in the world, but its better than all the other verizon phones... so what do you guys think? opinions? reviews? skeptic remarks? carrots?

I have a Sprint Rumor which is pretty much the same thing except smaller and faster on the internet and such. I like it more. |

but two of my friends have rumors and I like that phone a lot more than the enV or any other

I got the Samsung Gleam instead. *I think* they have similar features (though I only use my phone for calls and the odd text message). It's only been a couple months and it's already scratched up...as much as I TRIED to keep it clear of them.

It takes great pics, the web service is actually not bad (I'm constantly checking my Gmail on it), the qwerty keyboard rocks, and the mp3 player works great. I've got a 2gb microSD card in it loaded with music.

things I am concerned with: the size of the phone (too big), the size of the screens (too small)
anyone know if they are coming out with a new one soon? I can wait a month or two (I hope) I mean, this one has been out for almost a year and a half according to a random web site I was on

Peace,
James | That's pretty funny. It's definitely turned out to be a great phone though.
My wife even dropped hers in a lake. And after given a few days to dry, and a new battery, it still worked!

She had a problem with hers within the warranty period. Something with a wire coming loose and the ringer not always working. Verizon gave her a new one on the spot, and it works just fine now.

Anyway, a lot of my students have thos and seem to like them. |

Peace,

I got an orange one and LOVED it. Less than 3 months later, the large internal LCD cracked (from the inside - it was NOT dropped and there was no visible trauma to the unit whatsoever) and then 3 days later the outer screen failed. Verizon said that the LEDs were not a warranty item and without replacement insurance they would do nothing for me, except sell me another new one (for $400). When I flat our refused and told them to shove it and to reactivate my old (cheap) phone, they offered me a 'reconditioned' enV for a $50 replacement fee. I've now got 3 months on the new phone and haven't had any problems (it is a GREAT phone), but I am concerned how long it will last.
Bottom line: good phone BUT pop for the extra insurance because they aren't that durable.

but newsflash: the new enV comes out this month! I am getting one! http://www.mobiletechreview.com/ubbt...s&Number=29900
they fixed everything I didn't like about the current model it seams.
