Vibram "Five Fingers" shoes

Sign in to disble this ad
Was just wondering if anyone has had a chance to try these? (or know of any similar brands).

I've been looking for some new shoes for the gym, can't use my lifting shoes for everything, and these things look like they would fit the bill! (Would always like to go barefoot, but, y'know, health and saftey. I wouldn't want to let those WMDs loose on unsuspecting people! ).

Anyone have these or something similar? Any comments etc etc?

I know a few people with them and they all like them. I tried some and they were cool, but it takes a while for your feet to get used to them. I would buy some, but I can`t justify them ATM.

I'll try some when/if I ever see them in store, looks like a nice pair of shoes for the gym. But my asics do the job atm, won't change until I worn them out.

I saw someone wearing some of those in Finland last year, and I thought they were awesome. Afterwards I wished I had asked him where he'd gotten them, cause I'd never seen them before. I'd like to try some someday.

A friend of mine has them. He loves em. The only complaint he had was that when he had to stand in line at Cedar Point, the blazing sun on the black neoprene tops of the shoes got really really hot.

I can't wear them unfortunately because my feet are misshapen and are also 2 different sizes. (True story. The info on their website completely rules me out.)

I have two pairs, one for winter, one for summer. They are great...extremely comfortable. Oddly enough I found out about them through a post in the effects forum a year ago!

I've had my eye on a pair of those for a while now. I'll probably pick up a pair of the "Classics" once the weather starts to warm up.

I've got them. It's like walking around barefoot only your soles are better protected. Very comfortable. They also start to stink pretty fast so you just throw them in with the laundry.

They remind me of my wetsuit booties that I surf with in the winter time. Those are only split between the big toe and the remaining four toes.

I love it... unless I'm wearing flip-flops, those things itch like crazy.

Just got myself a pair of these:

Vibram fivefingers KSO.

So far I love them!

I've gotten some very strange looks at work. 90% of the people think they are ugly/silly/whatever, only 10% like them.

But man they are comfortable!

This is just my first day in them, but I look forward to walking in them much more!

Cool. I got a pair of the classics last week.

Pics here:
Nonsense! Post it here.

Yeah, people either love them or hate them. Most folks don't know what to make of them, but they make my feet happy.

They would be fun for running in but I can't really imagine wearing them day to day.

I also have KSO's. It is really important to take time when moving to long distance treks with them. Our feet are not used to being barefoot for so long. I really love them for air travel. Don't forget to wash them once in a while.
