So as some of you know, my wife and I went to Chicago a few months ago. IF you didn't know Sears Tower (aka Willis tower) has a new skydeck that is literally a glass box that hangs off of the side of the 103rd floor. Here's a picture of that.

it gave me the willies. I was terrified. That was me after 30 min. of peeking over the edge, putting one foot over the edge. Barely being over the edge. etc... it's actually a funny human experiment. Everyone knows you're not going to die, but some people literally refuse, and some just jump up and down on the box....

A few years back I was on a volunteer team that repaired radio antennas on the top of a local 22 story building. I once walked out to the edge of the building, and looked over the side, no wall or anything between me and certain death. As I went closer I kept looking behind me to be sure some dumb*** wasn't coming up behind me to do the fake push me off thing.

I would NOT be stepping towards certain death and no wall. The crazy thing about being that high up is how small everything looks. cars are the size of ants. It was well worth my $$.

Been there before ... it sure makes the boys tingle.

If you get a chance to go again ... try it at night ... cool experience!
Doing the Ol' Ferris Bueller thing at the Hancock building is fun too.

My thing is studying or pushing design technology. In Vegas last year, we crammed 4 guys all over 275lbs in the first car on the NY, NY rollercoaster. What a ride, and it didn't break

That rollercoaster is a freaking blast. I was slightly too tall for the high roller on top of stratosphere, so they couldn't really strap my arms in. The guy was like " if you raise your arms, they'll get ripped off and I'll lose my job, so don't do that..."

I think these fish tanks are rated at 5 tons... so good luck on pushing that.

we actually got the best of both worlds. We came right before sunset, and stayed until the sun went down.

My friends Tattoo shop is almost across the street from the Strat. Been on every ride they've had up there. I don't think the rollercoaster is still there?? I know parts kept falling off it

I'm sure those fish tanks are totally idiot proof, probably calculated on 2 X the amount of drunks could pile themselves in there from top to bottom

When I was out there last summer, my daughter wouldn't even go up in the Strat, forget about going on rides. She wouldn't go near the rollercoaster at NY, NY either

I can stand on the edge of a cliff without fear, but building edges scare me. (although not enough to avoid hanging over the edge)
Kinda weird, since I've fallen off a cliff, but never a building.

Funny, but I remember going to the top of the Empire State Building in my younger days. That building is built like a small mountain - solid as hell and absolutely no sway. The only time in my life When I've been to the top of a tall building and not get sick!

I think it would be scarier if you took a pic of your feet - and straight DOWN.

I think the CN Tower in Toronto has a similar floor in some spaces at the top. It is a wig-out to stand and look down from the same spot.

It was unnerving at first, and it's not something one gets used to easily.
