The only place I will willingly spend money on clothes is in an opportunity/thrift store.

I have quite the interesting wardrobe...

HAH! Beat me to it.

Another option for the OP: If you've got a ladyfriend/ladyacquaintance/ladymom who is good with a sewing machine, just hit up any given fabric shop. They shouldn't be too hard to make...

I'm pretty sure you could score a pair if you jump one of those Peruvian pan flautists on the streets of your nearest city.

The ever-popular evilBay always seems to have stuff like that as well:

go to a good craft store and get some good fabric and reverse-engineer a good pair of sleep pants / beach pants for templates, and make yourself a pair or three. No shame in learning how to run a sewing machine...those type pants are super easy.

Hey Pissah, is Garment District still around in Slummerville? I used to go there constantly for wide collars and jackets.

Shop Salvation army once a week or more. Some days you'll find good stuff, some days you won't find anything. In a couple of months however you'll have a fine vintage wardrobe. I used to be way into vintage clothes, and even though Chicago has many fine vintage clothing stores, I preferred to shop the thrift stores often and pay 2.50-5.00 an item rather than 25.00-50.00 an Item.

I think it is. I'm pretty sure they still do that $5 for a pound of clothes deal or something like that.

I remember a commercial recently that was like "The garment district, is not a district, it's a store!"
