virgin mobile cell phones?

Sign in to disble this ad
i bought the cheapest phone they carry to try out their service, which is more than adequate but after 8 months the phone i spent $15 on is kaput. i want to keep the same service and phone number but don't know which phone to "upgrade" to.

what do you people recommend? i carry a blackberry without service to keep a calendar and the other features so all i really need the phone to do is make calls and send the occasional text message.

are all of their phones of the same quality? would my "upgrade" be just purchasing a polished turd?

what say you people?

Virgin don't make the phones you know.

My mate used to work at an orange call centre, people would ring up and demand that their phones be fixed. He had to explain many times that orange did not make the phones, they were the service provider.

You bought a very cheap phone and it broke, probably because it was a very cheap phone. False economy and all that.

I have the Wildcard or whatever it's called and it's not bad so far (got it about 6 or 7 months ago). But if you're not gonna be texting much then it wouldn't be worth the $100. I had the...Oyster I think it was called and it was good till I cracked the outside screen somehow.

I have the Aloha by LG. It makes and receives calls. It was $10. Plus you can still download cool ringtones. I have the theme from A Summer Place and The Magnificent Seven. I'm a happy camper.

I have a cheap Nokia phone that I got off my drummer. It's not hard to change the number, so long as it's a model that they have listed on the site. They have pretty easy to follow instructions too, on the virgin website.

If you already have the blackberry why don't you use that? It's pretty cheap to unlock a phone to use any network, if it doesn't already work universally of course.

because virgin mobile doesn't use sim-cards so unlocking my tmobile blackberry will not let me use it with virgin mobile.

+1 to Nokias, they aren't big on features but they last FOREVER.
