Virus/Spyware on MySpace

I was updating MySpace page and got hit with something that was very nasty and insistent about installing itself on my comp. Of course it claimed to be something to run and remove spyware from my system...
Shutting down the "Start this program" pop-ups only caused another, more insistent pop-up. Continually.
The text line "this program has been digitally signed and verified" only added to the overall "BS masquerading as legitimate software" vibe.
I finally had to use TaskMgr to get rid of it. Then found my Security Agent (very hip program BTW) alerting me that unknown software was attempting to install itself on my system.
Gross.
I'm doing a complete virus scan now.
Ticks me off. I'll be avoiding MySpace for a while now.

Rather than say "LOL you FAIL" I'd just like to point out that shared web hosting is very inexpensive $5 - $10 per month and a domain with your band name would only be about $7 per year to register.

I use these guys (no I don't get a referral perk or anything) and have zero need for the poop-hole that is MySpace.
