Vitamin D - Who takes it?

I get heinously lethargic in the winter, and while I steadfastly claim it's a vestigial hibernation-type response to cold weather (if anything, an excuse to sleep in), many people claim that lack of sunlight is the culprit and a vitamin D supplement makes all the difference through the long, cold winters. Who here takes it and can honestly say it makes a difference? I'm curious as to whether or not it's all a load of nonsense, or if there's some anecdotal support to the theory.

one of my meds is called AdCal - its a combination of calcium and vitamin D

i dont take it because of the sunlight issue tho, its because i have trouble absorbing them from food

I take lots of it, sunlight. In all seriousness I work outside, but I still get lethargic in the winter; so I should take some. Lack of vitamin D will make you lethargic.

I take it, but it's part of a multivit & mineral pill i pop each morning.

Gives the RDA of vit D.

Been taking it for ages, however, don't know if I notice differences like you suggest.
