| Vitamin D - Who takes it?

I get heinously lethargic in the winter, and while I steadfastly claim it's a vestigial hibernation-type response to cold weather (if anything, an excuse to sleep in), many people claim that lack of sunlight is the culprit and a vitamin D supplement makes all the difference through the long, cold winters. Who here takes it and can honestly say it makes a difference? I'm curious as to whether or not it's all a load of nonsense, or if there's some anecdotal support to the theory.
