Other than rioting, the vuvuzela is the worst thing to happen to professional sports ever. Good Lord.
I was driving to an appointment this past evening, so I thought I'd put the Ray's game on. This is what was inflicted upon the listeners: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zP3KpExCbWY
Make it stop.

I can easily see them banned by most American sports.
Also why is it so popular to make as much noise as possible? Doesn't it interfere with you watching the game? Or enjoying it?

I can't believe though, that people would watch the World Cup, say "hey, what's this insanely annoying sound coming from my TV? We need to import this to America to ruin sports we play here, too!" Why would they do this?

Oh yeah, the Marlin's vuvuzela promotion likely backfired on the team in the form of a loss. It seems like there was a lineup mix-up that quashed a rally in the 8th because the umpire couldn't hear the Marlin's manager properly.

Yeah, great dude. | People used to wear collared shirts, ties and jackets to baseball games. I should find a black and white crowd shot of a game circa 1940. I don't think they were screaming expletives with women and children around.
