I doubt it'll get shown over here though, since VW don't sell the Polo in the US (the Golf - aka the Rabbit - is the smallest car they do here). Shame. |

BTW in NA the Rabbit and the Golf are two different cars.

lowsound | The car currently sold as the Rabbit in the US is the rest of the world's 5th generation Golf - it is the same car. They changed the name in the US to appeal to those who had fun with the original Rabbit (the first-generation Golf in the rest of the world). Check out any of VW's other worldwide sites ( www.vw.co.uk is a good place to start) to see the differences in the ranges.
VW in Europe do two cars smaller than the Golf - the Polo (see the ad) and the Fox. VW in South Africa still make a version of the original Mk1 Golf as well! |

You occasionally see Jettas in the US with the Bora badge - they've nearly always been imported from Mexico, and they're usually the TDI diesels, since the diesels weren't sold in large numbers in the US, and it's cheaper for economy-minded drivers seeking that 50MPG thing that the TDI gives you to get them from Mexico than from anywhere else. |

You'll rarely see anyone walking around a supermarket in Europe with a dog (unless it's a guide/seeing-eye dog) and you'll certainly never see them in restaurants. You do see them in pubs though - often having a pint themselves! |

lowsound | For some reason, they still sell the a slightly facelifted Mk4 Golf in Canada, but as the City... the US Rabbit is still the rest of the world's Mk5 Golf. |
