Hell, say they put up a struggle. I have no sympathy for anyone who purposefully goes out to commit a crime against another person and has it all blow up in their face.
I'm sure if that was your wife or girlfriend he was feeling up, you'd be just dandy with it aye?

The muggers are lucky to be alive, IMHO. I`m not one for vigilante justice in most cases, but if you abuse a woman or a child you deserve a lot worse than just jail time. |

If I could take control of the guys and tie them up, I'd do it without an afterthought, and I would do whatever is necessary to tie them.
Now if I was standing in front of a hog-tied man, I can't say I'd hit him. At this point, I have the choice of being the wiser one and have him feel like he was the only one in the wrong, or punch him and go as low as the low-life he decided to be.

I might, might, question the force returned if they had realized the gun was not functional, and then put a cap in Jasmine's ass. Short of that, thy got some them some proper justice before the taxpayers are required to pony up for the lesser kind. |

The only thing that concerned me in the story was when the one victim noticed that there was no magazine in the weapon, thereby thinking it wasn't loaded. That reasoning could have been a fatal mistake. There very easily could have been one round in the chamber.
Granted, the perp could have only shot one of them, but that would still be one too many. I'm glad it worked out the way it did, but the victims were still lucky that there wasn't a round in the chamber.
