There was a survey in the US a while back, over 50% of kids aged between 13-17 years old spend 30 hours+ a week on a computer outside school hours. I'd say that was vastly underestimated.

I used to be a gamer, and had many friends who were gamers, but this is extreme. We all got at least average-good grades in school and never had any addiction problems.
