As some of you know, my uncle is a watch maker and makes some killer watches. He just came out with a new model and it got reviewed by Watch Report (a big deal in the watch world). Check it out: Archer Sterling Review

That is a purty piece of time keeping-I'd be all over it if I were a watch guy.

I am seeing him tomorrow, I am going to try and grab a wrist shot with it on tomorrow.

Jonathan: I am sure my uncle will be around a long time, he is a busy guy.

Watches are pretty much jewelry nowadays, right? I haven't worn a watch since the days of beepers...besides, I like my arms to weigh the same!

Very nice stuff. Might be picking up a couple of those next month. I'm one of the few that I know of that still wear a watch on a regular basis. Usually an Omega Seamaster or Tissot.

That's beautiful. Do Want.

Of course, I'm not rocking Tissots and Omegas like some folks

No, but for a watch like that, it is already a steal as I doubt that his profit margins are very high on those. The movement alone is $500-600.

Bump. I saw the watch in person today, and it looks even better in person than it does in the photos. He was also telling me about another, very modern, styled watch that he hopes to roll out in the spring. Sorry, I didn't grab a wrist shot.

Those are gorgeous watches. I'm kind of looking to get a new watch sometime, as my current one is pushing 7 years old and has seen better days. I have a nice pocket watch, too, but need to get it fixed.

Agree, those are very reasonable prices for that level of hand-built detail. Most impressive, beautiful watches.

He does incredible repair work as well. Check out his blog for the repairs that he does. There is a link to it on www.archerwatches.ca.

Checked the website - those watches aren't my cup of tea. I'm a chronograph guy, and those are too plain for me.

Nice. Very nice, elegant and classy and a good price for something precision hand-made. I especially liked the ones with Roman numerals.
