Does anyone know a way to do a payment exchange on here that is safe for BOTH parties without messing with PayPal fees?
Thanks. |

It is the only way that is fair for both party's.
You can get the apps and hardware for most smart phone now.

That way the buyer does have a receipt of purchase of the CC or MO. Make sure signature is required upon receipt of payment. Wait until payment clears. Ship product insured. Require signature for delivery. IF all is good with the product you are selling, there shouldn't be an issue.
Either way, the buyer has a way to recover the funds, and you the seller are covered upon damage or loss.
This may be the "old-school" way to do it, but it works. |

It can be a long wait for them to properly clear EVEN after the bank has said it's OK. AND when it comes back 3 weeks later it is guaranteed that the bank will take the money back from you.
Paypal and the like provide a valuable service for both parties. I don't like paying them either, but just accept the fees as a "cost of doing business".

IF the buyer has some good feedback why not accept a cashiers, sorry BANK check, or money order from said buyer? |

When I post that price, I keep all the costs, including fees in mind. That's not to say that I tack on the fees, because we're not allowed to do that, or at least ask for it out loud, but I'm at least aware of it in the final amount that I'd like to pocket. Because the price you ask for an item can vary a little bit, I see no problem in asking $750 for something while someone else might ask $725. That $25 is usually more than enough to make me not care about the paypal fees, even if I'm not consciously varying the price to make up for it.
If any of that makes sense

Take it to the post office and they tell you right then and there if its good...and even turn it into real money for ya.

If any of that makes sense | This is fine. Just build these costs into your original asking price. Then you won't have unexpected fees later.
