How the hell can I do this?
I'm trying to make a myspace for myself as a musician, and would LIKE some videos of performances.
But, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to rip a DVD to my PC!
Anyone? |

| | | | right click----> copy-----> paste---->
All depends on the format the video was taken in, we've got one of the flips which god willing is the greatest thing in the world, before we had a sony cam (mini dvds) which we could just copy paste then convert.
what happens when you put the disk in go to my computer, right click on the disk and choose "explore" typically you'll get a video TS and audio TS folders....

30 day trial version here.
Edit: don't feel rushed to purchase by the 20% off coupon, they seem to always have a similar deal going.

One of my favorite features is that you can set a target file size and it'll let you pick various encoding options in order to achieve that. If you wanted to rip your concert to a 700MB file, then FairUse Wizard would display a bunch of different resolutions to choose from and what the compression ratio would be for each option. You can easily crop the picture to remove black bars and set the range to encode, allowing you to save space by skipping the beginning and end parts that may not be needed.

| | | | I used to use DVD Decrypter with DVD43 which was very good but DVD43 doesn't work in 64 bit windows so now I use DVDFab to copy the files to the hard disk and Handbrake to convert them.
