We have a flea problem

Sign in to disble this ad
Well my pig of a roommate moved out after living here by himself for the summer... I cleaned up the mouse crap on the counters, caught 2 mice, hung fly paper, etc. etc. and the only problem we have NOW is that there are fleas on the hardwood floors downstairs. I've gotten quite a few bites on my ankles from them.

I was thinking about using a fogger, then sweeping, and mopping with bleach... any suggestions? BTW we don't have any pets.

Fleas have been attacking a lot of my friends recently.

Best bet would be a flea powder. There are ones you can get which you sprinkle on the carpet or floor and leave on for a while before hoovering it up.

Otherwise doing what you said is a good plan.

The foggers are effective, but make certain you have no pilot lights burning.

If there are pilot lights on then it will just clear the flea problem quicker wont it ?

The standard procedure to get rid of fleas is:

-Wait for them to ask for a signature bass.
-Answer them "no".
-Watch them leave crying and whining.

Cover the floor in baby powder. When you see little footprints apear, stab them with an ice pick.
