Those who are wise are following the wise, and the fools follow the fools.

And, everyone always thinks it's the other guy who's the fool and the majority of people seem incapable of even conceiving that they might fall on the wrong side of that dividing line. I don't think people have changed one whit in the last thousands of years. I think people are exactly the same now as they were in the 14th century and 2000 B.C. In my opinion, the technology has advanced - people have not. And every minute I spend on the internet only reinforces that belief.
So to answer your question, it's neither the age of wisdom nor the age of foolishness, anymore than any other time in history has been. Time and history march on.

And this is no longer the information age, we are now in the dis-information age.

People either seem very wise or very foolish but not many fall in between.

If the fools take over, this will be remembered as a great time of reason and wisdom.

There are things about which we have become much more foolish. Human history is like a big caterpillar tread.
Though many like to romanticize the past, there were in fact no "good old days" or "golden ages." Human nature seems to resist both utopia and dystopia. |
