BOTH. It would seem to be a paradox, but read the news and you realize that it's not.

it's the age of foolish wisdom: we know stuff that's not really important.

Bass is important.

A bit of both actually.
Those who are wise are following the wise, and the fools follow the fools.

As it's always been. And, everyone always thinks it's the other guy who's the fool and the majority of people seem incapable of even conceiving that they might fall on the wrong side of that dividing line. I don't think people have changed one whit in the last thousands of years. I think people are exactly the same now as they were in the 14th century and 2000 B.C. In my opinion, the technology has advanced - people have not. And every minute I spend on the internet only reinforces that belief.

So to answer your question, it's neither the age of wisdom nor the age of foolishness, anymore than any other time in history has been. Time and history march on.

have to go with foolish maj, I see a lot of dumbing down because people live their life vicariously thru the brain-washing machine, add fluoride, aspartame, msg, & other toxins and you have a controllable population of fools.

And this is no longer the information age, we are now in the dis-information age.

Foolishness. It's also the age of rampant narcissism and feel good ethics that require no real self sacrifice.

Abject foolishness. World wide. We've been living this way for a good, long time now.

Both. We have the knowledge to make things better but we foolishly ignore it.

I think this is an age of extremes.

People either seem very wise or very foolish but not many fall in between.

Both. Only time will tell what is forgotten and what is important from this era. I think it was Napoleon that said, "What is history but a fable agreed upon".

If the fools take over, this will be remembered as a great time of reason and wisdom.

There are things about which we are much wiser than before. There are things about which we have become much more foolish. Human history is like a big caterpillar tread.

Though many like to romanticize the past, there were in fact no "good old days" or "golden ages." Human nature seems to resist both utopia and dystopia.
